On May 28, 2026 the Iveron Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos visited our parish.  Fr. Nektarios, the keeper of the icon, arrived at our parish and was greeted by Fr. Dimitri.  The icon was processed into the church and greeted by neighboring and visiting clergy, our local parishioners, and over 300 guests visiting our parish.  An Akathist service was prayed before the holy icon and served by parish cleric Fr. Dimitiri, visiting clergy Fr. Stevo Rocknage (St. Sava’s Serbian Orthodox Church McKeesport, PA), Fr. Rajko Kosic (Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Church Steubenville, OH) , Fr. Joseph Romanchak (St. Basil’s ROCOR Belle Vernon, PA) Fr. Nebojsa Varagic (Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church Pittsburgh, PA), Fr. Jonah Campbell (Christ the Savior ROCOR Wayne, WV), Fr. Andrew Nelko (St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral OCA Pittsburgh, PA), Fr. Alexei Alexiev (St. John the Baptist OCA Blacklick, PA), Fr. Dcn. Mark Vukelic (Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Church Steubenville, OH), parish clerics Fr. Dcn. Andrei, and Fr. Dcn. Andrew.  At the conclusion of the Akathist Fr. Dimitri and Fr. Nektarios shared a few words with the faithful who then had the opportunity to venerate the icon and were anointed.  A small meal was prepared and many of the faithful headed to the church auditorium to share food and fellowship.
